Paula S. Forster - Democratic Candidate, House of Representatives, Legislative District #4

1. Vocational and Technical Education: Not all students are college bound so it’s imperative that we keep these students from dropping out of high school and teach them a trade. We need to improve curriculum for all students. We need a zero tolerance rule for disrespect, bullying, drug use and crime in our schools.

2. Health Care: I would work to get affordable health care for all and affordable prescription coverage without a donut hole.

3. Environment: I would work to force a clean up of our polluted air and to make sure that we truly have enough water to serve all the residents of Arizona. It’s time that Arizona becomes more energy efficient by using solar energy.

4. Immigrants: I will work for a worker registration program for all illegal immigrants. I will work to create a special program that would not penalize children who have grown up here, have been educated here and have stayed on the right track from being sent back to Mexico because they are not legal.

5. Land Use: I will work to maintain our desert landscape by controlling growth and basing densities on net acreage and not gross acreage.

6. Public Transportation: I will work to get public transportation to the west valley, to get circulator systems for cities and towns and to create a commuter rail system.

7. Availability: I will be a visible name and person to all my constituents.
